OCBA was retained by the City of Saginaw Parks Department in 1997 to provide master planning through construction administration services for a custom playground in Central Park. A design charrette was conducted to get input from children and their parents, and a unique crayon concept emerged, with several custom play pieces including a maze and a covered bridge arranged along a tricycle track with a sand mound in the center.

The “Crayon Park” still thrives today with just a few of the custom play pieces updated to meet current CPSC standards.
