OCBA and the City of Grand Rapids Parks Department facilitated two listening sessions with stakeholders and the resulting improvement plans are a direct reflection of the surrounding resident’s wants and needs. 

Lookout Park improvements increase visibility and safety with lighting for better visibility after dark and offer more places from which to capture sunset views.

Reservoir Park now offers more seating and overgrown vegetation is cleared so that the stunning city views can be better appreciated.  Barrier-free access to seating areas is also provided.

Belknap Park is home to the Grand Rapids Community College baseball and softball programs and serves both the pickle ball and bike polo communities.Minor removals and repairs to walks and restrooms and major electrical upgrades around the pickle ball and bike polo courts were implemented.
